Another piece of my collection is back in the fold:
After first reaching out to the purchaser in late November, the Siamese Singles box set is back from a decade overseas in France. I’ve sent a series of questions to the previous owner, so look for an interview soon. Included were two pieces I forgot I had included in the original sale: The ticket stub for the April 10, 1999 show at St. Andrew’s Hall when Jimmy Chamberlain returned to the band after being fired years earlier. Also included was a “Welcome Back Jimmy” sign given to fans to hold up during the first song (which few of us did.) The show was phenomenal — some of it is available on YouTube:
After I announced the return of the box set on the new Twitter page devoted to this endeavor, I received several retweets from various Smashing Pumpkins fan accounts. I thanked them for the love and mentioned that I was looking for a particular copy of Siamese Dream…I may have found it.
Stay tuned.
